ACTIVITIES
One of the largest international indoor riding school (named Lo Scoiattolo&) is opposite, so horse-riding lovers can walk to it. The school also has facilities for children to ride horses and to go ponies trekking etc.

The house is situated in the country, surrounded by luscious green fields, woods, meadows and hills. This typically Tuscan landscape is situated a few miles from several towns of historical and architectural interest. During the summer luxuriant hedges of lavender and rosemary bushes perfume the air, squirrels run along the tree branches and at night the only sound to fill your ears is the chat of the nightingale song.

Situated not too far from Pisa-airport, where several airlines (RYANAIR, TRANSAVIA, EASYJET, GERMANWINGS,….) operate with low-cost daily flights, the accommodation offers homely comforts, the peacefulness and tranquillity of the country, and at the same time is situated a short drive from the most interesting Tuscan towns:
- Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, S. Miniato, S. Gimignano, Firenze, Calci can be reached in very short time;
- Tirrenia, Viareggio, Marina di Pisa by the coast are only a few minutes drive;
- Montelupo, the cradle of Tuscan pottery with its famous pottery museum, in a short drive;
- the same for the renowned thermal resorts as Casciana Terme, Montecatini Terme, Monsummano Terme, Uliveto Terme with Spa waters to offer lasting health benefits.
Characteristic villages, gentle foothills dotted with rows of cypress trees, farm houses, vineyard and olive groves dominate the environment, while the famous road of Chianti D.O.C.G. wine leads to Montespertoli (35 km), with its vineyards, cellars and the Chianti Show, it is one of the Tuscan wine capitals.

For your children: - In Peccioli (15 km), the didactic prehistoric park combines the historical scientific information with an opportunity of entertainment with models, in natural size, of prehistoric animals, that are realistic in all the details. - Collodi (35 km) is famous for the Garzoni Gardens and Villa and for its Monumental Park dedicated to Pinocchio where you can find the renowned Toys village.

The Pontedera railway Station, about 4 miles, gives access to Pisa, Florence and Siena in a very short time.
Pisa and Florence Airports are respectively 14 and 31 miles away easily accessed by a four lane toll free motorway.

LODGINGS:

WE DO NOT HAVE DORMS BUT ONLY COMFORTABLE PRIVATE ENSUITE ROOMS (FOR 2 PEOPLE)!!!

The house is very quite and colorful with clean, warm and cosy rooms. The building was lately renovated (works ended in November 2008).
Each room has its own bathroom and a parquet flooring.

- HOLIDAY HOUSE
New areas are available for the guests: a sunny renovated building next to the main house, previously used as a hayloft and featuring typical Tuscan-style refined details (wooden roof beams, pin-spain parquet floorings, sandstone threshold, period furniture), hosts the yellow bedroom (with twin beds) and the green bedroom (with a double bed) , each with a private large bathroom and a private entrance ensuring complete privacy. A breakfast hall and car parking place are available for the guests of both bedrooms. NOTE: it is possible to add 1 twin room (2 beds) linked to the other bedroom and with ensuite private bathroom on request, in order to have at your disposal a comfortable apartment for 4 people (with 2 bedrooms, 1 dining room with kitchen); each bedroom has its own private bathroom, parquet flooring and an independent entrance!

French and English are spoken and when our daughter, who as a degree in Oriental languages, is at home also Chinese and German.
There is ample car parking.
The owners, retired teachers and experienced travellers, are a vast source of information for the surrounding areas and can point out routes for the guests to find out and enjoy both minor but very interesting unknown places.
We supply our guests with tourist guides, road maps and informative material on wine cellars, trips, outings, wine and gastronomic itineraries and cultural events.
A limited number of guests allows personal attention to services in complete privacy and the relations with our guests are always marked by their extreme cordiality and hospitality.
We have never disappointed the demands of who appreciates culture, country life, good cuisine and genuine products.
